About the Clarence State Electorate
The Clarence Electorate is located on the beautiful NSW North Coast and includes most of the Clarence and Richmond valleys and small parts of Ballina, Kyogle and Coffs Harbour shires. The main towns are the City of Grafton as well as Evans Head, Maclean, Iluka and Yamba. The population of 56,000 includes large numbers of farmers, timber communities, retirees, small businesses and young families.
For more information about life in the Clarence Electorate visit Steve's Local Links and Key Contacts page.
Steve Cansdell's office is at 11 Prince Street in Grafton, but he also regularly travels around the electorate to meet residents in their own communities. To make an appointment to see Steve at his office or in your local area, please contact his office.
A proposed electoral redistribution will change the boundaries of the Clarence Electorate from the next State Election in March 2007. Casino will become part of the Clarence electorate, while some smaller communities currently in Clarence will become part of neighbouring electorates.
